The Hidden Wiki: Guardian of Digital Freedom and Privacy
Tumblr media
The Hidden Wiki, a cornerstone of the dark web, is an essential resource for those seeking privacy, anonymity, and free speech in an increasingly surveilled world. This article provides a succinct yet detailed exploration of the Hidden Wiki’s positive impact, its role in promoting digital freedom, and how it remains a vital tool against the encroachments of governments and corporations.
A Beacon of Privacy and Anonymity
Origins and Purpose Founded in the early 2000s alongside the rise of Tor, the Hidden Wiki serves as a directory of .onion sites, offering a curated list of resources that prioritize privacy and anonymity. It provides access to secure communication tools, encrypted email services, and platforms for whistleblowing, making it an indispensable guide for those navigating the dark web.
Empowering Individuals The Hidden Wiki empowers individuals by providing the tools necessary to protect their personal privacy. Encrypted services like ProtonMail and secure platforms like SecureDrop allow users to communicate safely and anonymously, fostering an environment where free speech can flourish without fear of surveillance or retribution.
A Catalyst for Free Speech Supporting Activists and Journalists In countries with oppressive regimes, the Hidden Wiki is a lifeline for activists and journalists. By offering access to platforms that bypass censorship, it enables the dissemination of information and the expression of dissenting voices. This support for free speech has been crucial in promoting transparency and accountability globally.
Facilitating Whistleblowing The Hidden Wiki plays a pivotal role in facilitating whistleblowing. Secure platforms listed on the Wiki allow whistleblowers to expose corruption and misconduct anonymously, driving societal change and holding powerful entities accountable.
Resilience Against Oppression Government and Corporate Scrutiny Despite facing relentless efforts from governments and corporations to control the flow of information, the Hidden Wiki remains resilient. Operations like Bayonet and Onymous have targeted the dark web under the guise of combating illegal activities, but often threaten the privacy and freedoms of legitimate users. The Hidden Wiki's ability to adapt and evolve in the face of such challenges underscores its significance as a tool for digital freedom.
Technological Evolution The Hidden Wiki continues to improve its security features and user experience, ensuring it remains a reliable and safe resource for its community. This evolution is a testament to its enduring importance in the digital age.

Alright I’ve got a fic idea and my inspiration has stopped a little short so I’m asking my friends in the Twojamie fandom for assistance
Reasons why Jamie has stolen, hidden, broken, or chucked Two’s recorder into space only for another one to turn up
This does not have to be canon, in fact I’d prefer it not to be. Why do you think Jamie has taken the recorder?
Reblogs and replies are welcome

Not fond of how dependant on wikis a lot of indie games are these days. Maybe this is a hot take but I think your game should be playable without looking up external resources, and I don't like having a wiki for whatever game I'm playing up all the times just to casually play it because the game couldn't be bothered.

Think of The Hidden Wiki as a search engine for the Dark Web. It’s a collection of links to ".onion" sites, which you can’t access through regular browsers. Instead, you need a specialized browser like Tor to enter this hidden internet. Unlike the surface web, which is indexed and easily searchable, the Dark Web operates in a much more elusive manner. The Hidden Wiki gives users a starting point for navigating this obscure corner of the online worldThe Hidden Wiki is maintained by its users, which means its list of links is ever-changing. You might come across legitimate privacy tools like encrypted communication platforms, but you could also stumble upon illegal markets or scams.

The Spearmaster from Rain World
As far as I know none of the player characters (or their species in general) have confirmed genders/sexes, spearmaster was presumably created via some kind of cloning/genetic modification by a character known as Seven Red Suns, who uses he/him and never is addressed in any feminine way
Yes, Spearmaster from Rain World could kill Macbeth!
Tumblr media
It took me a while to research this, but I'm finally able to confirm what the above has said; Spearmaster applies for the Gender Clause, Unconventional Birth Clause, and the Birth Parent Clause! Thank you for your submission!

one of the small things I love about hollow knight that's frustrating but also deeply compelling is how many tiny, no context glimpses you get into what looks like it must be deeply intriguing personal history for various NPCS that the game absolutely does not expand on or connect to anything in any way
